Linn LM-1

The LM-1 was the first sample-based drum machine. The built-in samples were sampled at 28 kHz with 8 bits of resolution. Despite its limited capabilities, the LM-1 was used by many popular artists, including Gary Numan, Michael Jackson, Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, and Prince.

How to make "Genesis – Mama" drum pattern?

Step 1: Place bass drum on beats 1, 7, 9, 15.
Step 2: Place closed hi-hat on beats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16.
Step 3: Place open hi-hat on beat 12.
Step 4: Place clap on beats 5, 13 (backbeat).
