Step 1: Place snare drum on beat 9.
Step 2: Place closed hi-hat on beats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 (sixteenth notes).
Step 3: Place open hi-hat on beats 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 (eighth notes offset by one beat).
